Swimming pool concerns discussed – Cottonwood County Citizen

City of Windom Recreation Director Tim Hogan recently gave a report on swimming pool use and the need for future repairs at the city budget meetings.
The pool has significant leaks and Hogan said the water loss this year was noticeable due to dry weather and the normal hydraulic pressure was not there to keep the leaks sealed. City council members discussed a feasibility study that would identify a location and provide options for a new facility and for referendum support.
The council agreed that the costs to do this will be high, and Jenny Quade stated that she thought it would be better for the citizens to vote on a pool rather than leave it up to the city council to decide.
