Michael Duff glad to get new boys out on the pitch | Swansea – Swansea City

Swansea City boss Michael Duff was glad to get new signings Josh Ginnelly and Mykola Kuharevich out on the pitch for their debuts against Northampton Town as they build up fitness.
The pair were introduced during the second half of the Swans 3-0 win for their first competitive action for their new club following their summer arrivals.
Ginnelly marked his bow with a stunning goal in stoppage time, beating a defender before driving forward to smash an unstoppable drive into the top corner from 30 yards.
Kuharevich got his first minutes under his belt having not had a pre-season to build up his match fitness, but Duff was happy to continue the process of bedding them into their new surroundings.
“It was good to get them out there. After a goal like that, Josh might as well go home because I’m not sure if he’ll be able to do that again! It was a brilliant goal,” said Duff.
“I think he is that type of player, he is going to be enigmatic, he is the sort of player who is going to get bums off seats.
“He might have quiet moments in games, but he has got moments like that goal in him.
“He started it off with a chop to beat a lad, taking a couple of touches to get it out of his feet and cracked it in the top corner from 25 or 30 yards.
“It was really good for him to introduce himself to the fans like that.
“For Mykola, that was his first 10 minutes of pre-season. We are going to have to do loads of work to get him up to speed with how we want to play, but that is the same for all the new bodies who are coming in.
“He is playing catch-up a bit with the patterns of play and pressing, but it was great to see him out there on the pitch.”
