Taking to his Instagram handle, Michael Andrew posted a clip of his Christmas Eve activities. The caption of the post reads, “Christmas Eve things.” The clip featured Andrew hitting the gym apparatuses in a cozy setup. The 2021 Olympic champion was also seen engaging in indoor sports with his father and coach, Peter Andrew. Peter’s guidance has remained elemental in Michael’s journey, helping him practice discipline and build resiliency in swimming. The circle of close ones does not end here.

Michael Andrew’s medal closet proudly flaunts one Olympic Gold medal, six World Championship medals including one gold, and 11 short course World medals with six golds. Even with that, Andrew was missing from the 2023 World Championships team. In a candid admission, he said about that, “I think I went into it a little too confident being like okay I haven’t missed a team in seven years like this can’t be that hard…There’s a silver lining in missing that team, and I think it’s nice to see that all coming to fruition, and it sets us up nicely for World Cups now and then, obviously, the rest of the year going into Paris.”
